Return and Exchange Policy

At SparkFun Electronics, we strive to provide our customers with high-quality products. However, we understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations or may have issues. Our Return and Exchange Policy is designed to ensure a smooth process for you in such situations. This article will guide you through our return and exchange procedures, making sure you feel confident when making a return or exchange.

Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges

To qualify for a return or exchange, please ensure that your request meets the following criteria:

  • The item must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.
  • Products must be in their original packaging and condition.
  • You must have proof of purchase, such as an invoice or order confirmation email.
  • Customized or special orders are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To initiate the return or exchange process, please follow these step-by-step instructions:

  • 1. Visit the SparkFun website and log in to your account.
  • 2. Navigate to the 'Orders' section in your account dashboard.
  • 3. Locate the order you wish to return or exchange and select the item.
  • 4. Click on the 'Return' or 'Exchange' button next to the item.
  • 5. Fill out the provided form with the necessary details including your reason for return/exchange.
  • 6. Once your submission is reviewed, you will receive further instructions via email.
  • 7. Pack the item securely and include the original packing slip or invoice.
  • 8. Ship the item back to the address provided in the instructions.
  • 9. Once we receive the returned item and it is inspected, a refund or exchange will be processed.

Refunds and Process Time

Refunds for returned items will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for the refund to be reflected in your account after the return is processed. For exchanges, we will send out the replacement item from our warehouse as soon as the return is received.
