At Speak English Language Institute, we understand that everyone has different English language skills and learning needs. To ensure you're enrolled in the right course to maximize your progress, we offer a range of course levels and a placement test to assess your current proficiency.
Our Course Levels
Our English language courses are structured into six levels, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
- Beginner (A1): For those with little or no prior English knowledge.
- Elementary (A2): For learners who can understand basic phrases and sentences.
- Intermediate (B1): For learners who can communicate in most everyday situations with a reasonable level of fluency.
- Upper Intermediate (B2): For learners who can communicate effectively in a variety of situations and understand complex topics.
- Advanced (C1): For learners who can express themselves fluently and accurately in a wide range of contexts.
- Proficiency (C2): For learners who have a near-native level of English proficiency and can communicate in any situation with a high level of accuracy and fluency.
Placement Test
To determine the most appropriate level for you, we offer a comprehensive placement test that covers all aspects of English proficiency, including:
- Grammar and Vocabulary: assesses your understanding of English grammar rules and vocabulary.
- Reading Comprehension: tests your ability to understand written English.
- Listening Comprehension: assesses your ability to comprehend spoken English.
- Writing: evaluates your ability to write grammatically correct and coherent English.
- Speaking: tests your ability to communicate effectively in spoken English.
How to Take the Placement Test
- Online: You can take the placement test online at our website.
- In-Person: You can also take the placement test at our center during office hours.
- Schedule Your Test: Contact our admissions team to schedule your placement test.
