Managing Exchange Settings

Fine-tuning your exchange settings lets you create a personalized and organized gift exchange that meets your specific needs. Here's how to manage the different settings:
Accessing Exchange Settings:
- Step 1: Log In: Log into your Elfster account and navigate to your specific exchange.
- Step 2: Access Settings: Look for the "Settings" tab or button, usually located in the navigation menu of your exchange.
Key Settings to Adjust:
- Gift Exchange Type:
- Change Type: Select a new type of exchange from the available options (Secret Santa, White Elephant, Yankee Swap, or Custom).
- Custom Rules: If you've chosen "Custom Exchange," you can define your own specific rules.
- Deadlines:
- Wish List Deadline: Set a date by which participants must add items to their wish lists.
- Exchange Deadline: Set a date for the gift exchange.
- Gift Exchange Rules:
- Price Limits: Set a minimum or maximum price for gifts.
- Gift Themes: Set a specific theme for gifts (e.g., "holiday movies" or "funny gag gifts").
- Communication Settings:
- Contact Method: Choose to contact participants via email, text message, or both.
- Notifications: Configure notification preferences for exchange updates and reminders.
- Participant Limits: Set a maximum number of participants for your exchange.
- Privacy: Choose your level of privacy:
- Public: Your exchange can be found by others using Elfster (may be visible on Elfster's homepage).
- Private: Only invited participants can access your exchange.
Saving and Confirming:
- Review Changes: Double-check all your settings to ensure they're correct.
- Save: Click the "Save" or "Apply" button to confirm the changes.
