In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to create your first project with Deepgram, enabling you to harness the power of accurate and efficient speech recognition.

Steps to Create Your First Project:

  1. Sign in to Your Deepgram Account
  • Visit  Deepgram's website  and log in with your credentials. If you don’t have an account, click on "Sign Up" to create one.
  1. Navigate to the Dashboard
  • Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the dashboard, where you can view your existing projects or create a new one.
  1. Create a New Project
  • Click on the “+ New Project” button located at the top-right of the dashboard.
  1. Name Your Project
  • Enter a descriptive name for your project that reflects the audio content you plan to transcribe.
  1. Upload Your Audio Files
  • Click “Upload Files” and select the audio files you want to transcribe from your device. Deepgram supports a wide range of audio formats, including MP3, WAV, and FLAC.
  1. Select Your Language and Model
  • Choose the language of your audio and the desired AI model. Deepgram offers various models optimized for different needs, including real-time transcription and enhanced accuracy.
  1. Configure Additional Settings
  • Customize your project with additional settings like speaker detection, punctuation, and formatting preferences.
  1. Start Transcription
  • After uploading your files and configuring your settings, click “Start Transcription.” Deepgram will process the audio and generate a transcription in seconds.
  1. Review and Download the Transcription
  • Once transcription is complete, review the output directly in the dashboard. You can download the transcript in various formats like JSON, TXT, or SRT.
