Domain registration requires providing contact information, which can be publicly accessible through the WHOIS database. DNSimple offers features to manage your domain contacts and enhance your privacy, protecting your personal details while maintaining control over your domain.
Managing Domain Contacts
1. **Login to your DNSimple account:** Access your DNSimple dashboard and navigate to the "Domains" section.
2. **Select the domain you want to manage:** Click on the domain name to view its details.
3. **Access the contact information:** Find the "Contacts" tab or section within your domain's settings.
4. **View existing contacts:** Review the current contact information associated with your domain, including registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contacts.
5. **Update or edit contacts:** Click on the "Edit" button next to each contact type to modify the information.
6. **Add new contacts:** If you need to add additional contacts, look for the option to create a new contact within your domain's contact management settings.
Enabling Domain Privacy
1. **Select the domain:** Go to your DNSimple dashboard, find the domain you want to protect, and click its name.
2. **Privacy settings:** Locate the "Privacy" tab or section within your domain's settings.
3. **Enable domain privacy:** Check the box or toggle the switch to activate privacy protection for your domain.
4. **Confirm the privacy option:** DNSimple will typically display a confirmation message after enabling privacy, ensuring your contact information is hidden from public view.

- Contact information: Ensure your contact information is up-to-date and accurate, as it's used for domain renewals, transfer notifications, and other important communications.
