Humankind’s multiplayer mode allows you to test your strategic skills against others, compete for dominance, and experience the thrill of a truly global conflict. This guide will guide you through the process of joining a multiplayer match, setting up your game parameters, and connecting with fellow players.

Connecting with Other Players

  • Launch the Game: Start Humankind, and navigate to the Multiplayer menu.
  • Choose a Game Mode: Select your preferred multiplayer game mode, such as Ranked or Custom. Ranked matches offer competitive gameplay, while Custom matches allow you to tailor the experience to your preferences.
  • Game Parameters: Adjust the game settings to your liking, including map size, starting era, victory conditions, and other game mechanics.
  • Hosting or Joining: If you're hosting, create a new game lobby, set the desired parameters, and invite friends or other players. If you are joining, browse the available lobbies and search for a game that matches your preferred settings.
  • Joining a Lobby: Once you've found a suitable lobby, click to join the game. Make sure your system meets the game's requirements for smooth gameplay.
  • Connecting to the Server: Wait for all players to connect to the game server.
