This guide will help you understand and manage user permissions within your Frontegg application. Permissions define the specific actions that users with specific roles or groups can perform within your application. 

 Frontegg provides granular permission controls, allowing you to define fine-grained access for different aspects of your application. This ensures that users only have access to the features and data they need to perform their tasks.

 Frontegg leverages RBAC to manage permissions effectively. Roles are assigned to users or groups, and permissions are associated with those roles. This simplifies permission management and ensures consistency across your user base.

  Common permission categories include access to specific features, modifying data, managing settings, creating content, viewing reports, and other actions relevant to your application's functionality.

 Navigate to the "Roles" or "Permissions" section of your Frontegg dashboard. Depending on your Frontegg setup, you might find these settings under the "Users" or "Management" menu.

  Find the role whose permissions you want to manage, and access its "Permissions" section. 

  Review the list of permissions associated with the role. You can enable or disable specific permissions to grant or restrict access to certain actions or data within your application.

 Depending on your Frontegg version, you may be able to add or remove permissions from the list. Consider your security requirements and carefully choose the appropriate permissions for each role. 

 Review any updates you've made to the permissions and save the changes to implement them for users or groups assigned that role.

Managing User Permissions

This guide will walk you through the process of adding new users to your Frontegg application and managing their profiles. You'll learn how to create user accounts, update their information, and manage their access to different features.

 Access the Users section within your Frontegg dashboard. You'll typically find this under the "Users" or "Management" menu.

 Click on the "Add New User" button or a similar action to create a new user account.

 Fill out the required information for the new user, such as their name, email address, password, and any other relevant details depending on your application's requirements.

 If you want to assign a specific role to the user, select it from the available options. This will determine the user's access to different parts of your application.

  Review the user's details and ensure accuracy. Once you're ready, save the new user to create the account.

 Access the list of users from the "Users" section of your Frontegg dashboard. You can view each user's profile by clicking on their name.

  When viewing a user's profile, you can edit their information, such as their name, email address, password, or other relevant details.  Make sure to save any changes you make.

 Depending on your Frontegg setup, you can assign and manage user roles from the user profile. This allows you to control their access to different features and data.

 If necessary, you can disable or delete user accounts from the "Users" section. Disabling prevents access while deleting permanently removes the account from your application.

  Click on the "Add New Role" button or a similar action to create a new role.

  Give the new role a clear and descriptive name that accurately reflects its purpose and level of access. For example, you might create roles like "Administrator," "Editor," "Viewer," or "Contributor."

 Assign specific permissions to the role.  Permissions determine what actions users with this role can perform within your application. This could include accessing specific features, managing data, modifying settings, or performing other actions.

 Review the role's details, including the name and assigned permissions. Once you're satisfied, save the new role to complete the process.

 Navigate to the "Users" section of your Frontegg dashboard and view the profiles of the users you want to assign roles to.

  Within the user's profile, locate the "Roles" section and select the appropriate role from the dropdown list. You can assign multiple roles to a single user if needed.

 If you have created user groups, you can also assign roles to entire groups from the "User Groups" section. This allows you to grant the same permissions to all members of a specific group.

  Ensure that the selected role is correct and save the user profile or group to apply the changes.
