Sharing Files and Documents

Nexus Reform provides a centralized platform for storing, sharing, and accessing project files and documents. This ensures efficient collaboration and ensures everyone on the team has access to the latest versions of relevant materials.
Sharing Files
- Navigate to the "Files" Section: Within your project, select the "Files" tab to access the file management feature.
- Upload a File: Click the "Upload File" button and select the file from your computer.
- File Name and Description: Enter a descriptive file name and add a brief description to provide context.
- Visibility Settings:
- Public: The file is visible to all team members within the project.
- Private: The file is only visible to you (the uploader) and those you explicitly share it with.
- Share with Specific Team Members: You can choose to share a private file with specific team members by selecting their names from the list.
Accessing and Managing Files
- File List: The "Files" tab displays a list of all files uploaded to the project, with details such as the file name, size, and last modified date.
- Downloading Files: Click the download icon next to a file to download it to your computer.
- Viewing Files: Depending on the file type, you may be able to preview the file directly within Nexus Reform.
- Deleting Files: You can remove files from the project by selecting them and using the "Delete" option.
- Sharing Permissions: If you have uploaded a private file, you can modify sharing permissions by selecting the file and choosing the "Share" option.
Utilizing Files for Collaboration
- Project Documentation: Store essential project documents (e.g., project plans, requirements documents, design specifications) in the file section.
- Team Collaboration: Share files that need to be reviewed or edited by multiple team members.
- Meeting Materials: Upload presentations, reports, or other materials related to team meetings.
- Supporting Information: Store reference materials, research, or other supporting documentation for your project.
- Keeping Track of Versions: Nexus Reform maintains a history of file uploads and versions, allowing you to access past revisions if needed.
By effectively utilizing the file sharing and management features in Nexus Reform, you can create a collaborative environment where team members have access to all project-related documents and can readily collaborate on shared materials.
