Personalizing Your Feedly Experience

Last updated August 17, 2024

Feedly is designed to be a personalized news reader, allowing you to tailor your experience to your specific interests and preferences. By customizing your Feedly dashboard with folders, tags, and other settings, you can create a more efficient and enjoyable reading workflow.

Personalizing Your Feedly Dashboard

Follow these steps to personalize your Feedly experience:

  • Create Folders: Organize your feeds into folders based on your interests, such as "News," "Technology," "Lifestyle," or "Business." This makes it easier to browse and manage your reading list.
  • To create a folder, click on the "+" button next to "All" in the left sidebar.
  • Give your folder a name and click "Create Folder".
  • You can then drag and drop feeds into the newly created folder.
  • Add Tags: Tag your feeds with keywords to categorize them further. This allows you to quickly find specific content by searching for tags.
  • To add a tag, go to a feed's settings page and click on "Edit".
  • In the "Tags" section, enter a tag and click "Add Tag".
  • Customize Your Reading View: Choose your preferred reading mode for articles, including "Full-page," "Reader view" (simplifies the page layout), or "Offline mode" (save articles to read later without internet access).
  • Manage Notifications: Decide how you want to receive notifications about new content in your feeds, whether through email, browser notifications, or both.
  • Explore the Settings Menu: Access the comprehensive settings menu to control various aspects of your Feedly experience, such as language preferences, font styles, and display options.
