1. **Workspace Name and URL:**  Edit your workspace name and URL to create a unique identifier for your team.

2. **Workspace Icon:**  Upload a custom image or select an icon from the provided options to visually represent your workspace.

3. **Default Language:** Set the default language for your workspace.  This language will be used for all user interface elements and notifications.

4. **Workspace Theme:** Choose a color scheme that aligns with your branding or preferences. You can select from a variety of pre-designed themes or create a custom theme using color palettes.

Customizing Your Workspace Settings

Workflows in Slab allow you to automate tasks, manage approval processes, and streamline specific projects, freeing up your time and improving team efficiency. This article guides you through setting up and using workflows effectively.

1. **Navigate to Workflow Settings:** Click on the "Team" tab in your workspace dashboard and select "Workflows." 

2. **Create a New Workflow:** Click "+ New Workflow" to create a new workflow. 

3. **Choose a Name:** Provide a descriptive name for your workflow, reflecting its purpose. For example, "Content Approval Workflow" or "Project Review Workflow." 

4. **Add Steps to Your Workflow:**  Click "+" to add new steps to your workflow. Each step represents a task or action that needs to be taken.

Setting Up and Using Workflows

A well-organized team is crucial for a successful knowledge base. This article walks you through managing your team members, assigning roles, and adjusting permissions within your Slab workspace.

1. **Navigate to "Team Members":** From your workspace dashboard, click on the "Team" tab and then select "Members."

2. **Invite New Members:** Click "+ Invite Members" and enter the email addresses of the individuals you want to add. 

3. **Choose a Role:** For each member, select a role that aligns with their level of access and responsibilities:

4. **Send Invitations:** Click "Send Invitations" to send emails to your team members.  They will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation and join your workspace.

1. **View Member Details:** From the "Members" tab, you can view each team member's information, including their role, last active date, and joined date.

2. **Adjust Roles:** Click on a team member's name to modify their current role.  This allows you to change their access level at any time.

3. **Remove Members:** If a team member is no longer part of your workspace, you can click on their name and select "Remove" to remove them from the workspace.

  Admins have complete control over the workspace. They can manage all aspects of your knowledge base, including adding and removing members, changing permissions, and customizing settings.

  Editors can create, edit, and delete content within your workspace, as well as manage folders and collaborate with other team members.  

  Viewers can only view and comment on existing content. They cannot edit, create, or delete any content. 

  Consider each team member's responsibilities and expertise when assigning roles. This helps ensure that people have the appropriate level of access and can perform their tasks efficiently.

 Periodically review member roles and permissions to ensure they are still relevant and aligned with current workflows.

  Be transparent about changes to team membership and roles, and explain the rationale behind those changes.
