Adding Participants Manually

Sometimes, sharing a link isn't the best way to invite people. Maybe you have a smaller group or want to control who joins. Manually adding participants lets you control the list and personalize the invitation process.

Adding Participants Manually:

  • Step 1: Access the "Participants" Page: Go to the "Participants" tab or section on your Elfster exchange page.
  • Step 2: Click "Add Participants": Locate the button or option to add participants. It might say "Add Participants," "Invite Participants," or similar.
  • Step 3: Enter Participant Details:
  • Name: Provide the full name of each participant.
  • Email: Enter the participant's email address.
  • Phone Number: You can optionally include their phone number (useful for text message notifications).
  • Step 4: Repeat for Each Participant: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each person you want to invite to the exchange.
  • Step 5: Click "Add": Once you've finished entering information, click the button to add the participants to your exchange.

Sending Invitations:

  • Automated Emails: Elfster will automatically send out invitations to the participants you've added. The emails will include the exchange name, theme, rules, and deadlines.
  • Optional Custom Message: You might also have the option to add a personalized message to each invitation to make it more welcoming.

Important Notes:

  • Privacy: Make sure the participants you add have given their consent to be included in the exchange.
  • Communication: If you've included a phone number for a participant, they may also receive text messages related to the exchange.
