Using Captions and Transcriptions

Adding captions and transcriptions to your Loom videos makes them more accessible and engaging. This guide will show you how to easily add and customize captions and transcriptions.
Steps:
- Accessing the Captions Tool:
- Select the video you want to edit from your Loom library and click on the "Captions" button below the video player.
- Generating Captions:
- Click "Generate Captions" to automatically create captions for your video.
- Wait a few moments for Loom to process and generate the captions.
- Editing Captions:
- Review the generated captions for accuracy.
- Click on any caption to edit the text, timing, or formatting.
- Adding Custom Captions:
- If you prefer, you can manually add captions by clicking on "Add Caption."
- Enter the text and adjust the timing for each caption.
- Customizing Caption Appearance:
- Use the settings menu to customize the appearance of your captions, including font size, color, and position on the screen.
- Transcriptions:
- To download a full transcription of your video, click on the "Transcription" tab.
- Click "Download Transcription" to save the text file to your device.
- Saving and Publishing:
- After editing, click "Save" to apply the captions to your video.
- Publish or share your video with captions to make it accessible to a wider audience.
