Setting Up and Using Milestones

Milestones are significant checkpoints or achievements in your project. They break down larger projects into manageable phases, making it easier to track progress and ensure deadlines are met.
Creating Milestones
- Navigate to the "Milestones" Section: Within your project, select the "Milestones" tab to access the milestone management feature.
- Create a New Milestone: Click the "Create Milestone" button.
- Milestone Title: Give your milestone a clear and descriptive title. This should clearly communicate the objective or goal of the milestone.
- Description: Provide a brief description of the milestone, including the key tasks and deliverables expected within this phase.
- Due Date: Set a realistic due date for the milestone.
- Add Tasks (Optional): You can link existing tasks to the milestone by selecting them from the list.
- Click "Create Milestone": Save the new milestone by clicking the "Create Milestone" button.
Managing Existing Milestones
- View Milestone Details: Click on a milestone to view its details, including the description, due date, linked tasks, and overall progress.
- Update Due Date: If necessary, adjust the due date of the milestone to reflect any changes in the project timeline.
- Edit Description: You can modify the milestone description to provide additional context or updates.
- Add or Remove Tasks: Link existing tasks to the milestone or remove tasks that are no longer relevant.
- Mark as Complete: When the milestone is complete, mark it as "Completed" to indicate that all tasks within that phase have been finished.
- Track Progress: The milestone list provides a visual representation of the progress of each milestone, including its status, due date, and linked tasks.
