Using the TELUS Smart Home App

The TELUS Smart Home app puts the power of your security system and connected devices right at your fingertips. Use this app to control, monitor, and customize your home security and automation features, all from your smartphone or tablet.
Download and Login
- Download the App: Find the TELUS Smart Home app in your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).
- Login: Use the same login credentials you use for your My TELUS account to access the app.
Controlling Your Security System
- Arm/Disarm: Easily arm or disarm your security system from anywhere.
- View System Status: Check the current status of your security system, including whether it's armed or disarmed, and the status of individual sensors.
- Trigger Alarms: Some systems allow you to manually trigger alarms (like a panic button) for emergencies.
- Control Keypad: You may be able to control your keypad remotely through the app, like adding or deleting codes.
- View Recorded Events: Access a history of events recorded by your security system, including alarm triggers, sensor activation, and door/window activity.
Managing Your Smart Home Devices
- Control Lights: Turn lights on or off, dim them, and create schedules for automatic lighting control.
- Control Thermostats: Adjust your thermostat settings, create schedules for temperature control, and monitor energy consumption.
- Lock/Unlock Doors: If you have smart locks installed, use the app to lock and unlock your doors remotely.
- View Camera Feeds: Access live video streams from your TELUS Security cameras, and review recorded footage.
- Receive Notifications: Configure app notifications for various events, including alarm triggers, sensor activation, motion detection, and camera events.
Additional App Features
- Home Automation: Create custom automations to control various devices. For example, set up an automation to turn on your lights when your front door sensor detects activity.
- Device Management: Add and manage new smart home devices compatible with the TELUS system.
- Account Settings: Manage your user profile, adjust app notification settings, and access help and support information.
