Refund Process

After initiating a return and completing the return process, you may be eligible for a refund. This guide will walk you through the refund process on My American Shop.

Eligibility for Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, ensure that:

  • You've returned the item(s) in accordance with our [Returns Policy](https://www.myamericanshop.com/returns-policy).
  • The returned item(s) have been received and inspected by our team, and they meet our return criteria.
  • You've chosen the refund option during the return initiation process.

Refund Processing Time

Once your return has been successfully processed, and the returned item(s) meet our return criteria, we'll initiate the refund process. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for the refund to be processed and appear in your account. The refund will be issued in the same tender used for the original purchase.

Refund Status

You can check the status of your refund by following these steps:

1. **Access Your Order History**: Log in to your account and navigate to your order history.

2. **Select the Returned Order**: Find the order associated with the returned item(s) and click on it.

3. **View Refund Status**: On the order details page, you'll find the refund status, which will be one of the following:

Refund Methods

The refund method will depend on the original payment method used for the purchase. Here are the most common refund methods:

  • Original Payment Method: If the original payment method is still active and valid, the refund will be issued to that payment method.
  • Store Credit: If the original payment method is no longer valid or if you prefer, you may choose to receive store credit for the value of the returned item(s). Store credit can be used towards future purchases on My American Shop.

Refund Exceptions

Please note the following exceptions regarding our refund policy:

  • Gift Cards: Refunds cannot be issued to gift cards.
  • Delivery Fees: Delivery fees are not refunded, except in cases where the entire order is returned, and the delivery fee was not charged separately.
  • Promotional Discounts: Refunds do not include any promotional discounts applied to the original purchase.
